Solid brass is significantly more durable and corrosion-resistant than zinc alloy (zamak). Brass fittings can last decades, resist hard water damage, feel substantial in hand, and can be re-plated if needed. Zinc alloy fittings are prone to pinhole leaks, cracking, and plating failure over time, especially under Pakistani water conditions. Solid brass offers better long-term value.
